Tammy, I know how you feel. My son only had 2 out last week (Thursday) which is when he wrote me a letter, so not sure how he's doing. Good that you got a call.
YAY to everyone who got letters today. Enjoy!!! :)

Yay, Dodie! So good to know he is doing well (besides the knee issue and hoping that will be resolved soon). My son was also known on the 1st day...yep, not a good thing, as your son said! HA! But they learn and then do well!
Comment by Dodie on October 27, 2010 at 1:13pm
lukesmom, he said he & another recruit got their legs tangled during PT and he fell awkwardly. He probably sprained it badly. Since he is still w/ship 02, it sounds like he will be fine. I'm an RN so I like know details...lol:)
Comment by Dodie on October 27, 2010 at 12:45pm
diannep, he wrote that he is just limited light duty. He was to start physical therapy this week. He sounded very upbeat. Funniest line in the letter...he said he messed up a couple of times and the RDC knew his name on the 1st day...he wrote "THAT IS NOT A GOOD THING", but things had turned around big time after that....sounds like he is doing fine except for the knee.
