I got 2 letters last week too...this time they were 2 letters in the same envelope, written just one day apart. Just so nice to hear from him. Hope everyone gets lots of letters this week.....

Yay! Glad you got letters...did you get any last week or was these your first ones?? Yay, I am glad you got them, also glad he's doing ok after the wisdom teeth...thinking I would not have been awake, but that's me...infact when I got mine out, I was out! Glad to hear it's not too bad! That's what MIchael said...toughest part was no communication with family...

We're from TN also. I got 2 letters today!!! Yippeee. Brandon says he's doing fine, passed his first PFA and IFA. He got his wisdom teeth out on the 20th and is doing OK; said he was awake for the whole thing and it hurt so bad. He says write everyday if you want to. I've been writing everyday, but only sending every other day, so I guess I will send out a letter every day. He says he loves hearing from everyone and he loves writing....can't wait to write, he says. He says it's easier than he thought it would be and is worried about nuke school.

Lovingmycurtis, I am from TN!!!! Also, my sons's GF is on here and she is of course from TN as well!

Let's def keep our heads up for our kids! We will get those calls, just on the Navy's time schedule...they apparently don't like moms time schedules..LOL....anyway, as I heard over and over....NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!!!! Even though it is very tough, if you haven't heard anything, that is great news, means they are hanging in there and are ok....remember, they are all in the same boat...none of them get to hear from us either....but soon, very soon we'll be watching graduate...well, it seems like forever, but only 38 days!!!!!!! HOOYAH!!!

Yes, Aggie: I found the same when I read the BStations article. Someone had posted it on another PIR site and I had never seen it before. Disney created the ship and I'm sure used all of its wonderful talent in making it seem so real!
Comment by diannep on October 25, 2010 at 3:42pm
LovingMyCurtis: Ahhhh, that is a question that has no answer as every ship is different and times are different depending on world situations. My son's is in dry dock...so no deploying for at least another couple of years.

JAB's Mom, my son's Ship 02, Div. 903 too. I haven't gotten any letter, I was hoping so badly that I'd get one over the weekend. I'm thinking if they get to write on Sunday, maybe I'll get one Wednesday or Thursday.

diannep, thanks for the article about BS21. It gave me a lump in my throat thinking about when they get their new Navy caps!
