Abbe'sMom, I'm so glad that everything is working out for your daughter at Great Lakes:) Hopefully, you'll have her home quickly for the holidays.

Good Morning ladies.......I had a call from Abbe again last night and they were over on main side at the big nex and while we were on the phone a lot of the guys and girls from 017 & 018 were coming up and congratulating her for making it thru and asking about when she was coming over.  They all sounded happy and excited about Christmas and their schools so as I sat there and listened to them all sharing their stories there I sat and was again crying  (happy tears)  I am beginning to think that us military mothers are going to have a new appreciation for crying.........when does it stop............LOL  She moves over to A school today at 07:00 and from there will find out her orders.  She said definately coming home for Christmas just does not know when because of getting the travel plans pushed thru.  Couldn't be happier.

No A's mom did not need to speak to Brian...it was so funny...was actually dialing the # and in rings the 847 #....nearly jumped out of my seat...it was my girl...HooYah!  Tell A, she fell in the snow yesterday too.  She is Ok, just a little embarassed.  Said when she got back to compartment the Chief said you have 10 min to pack up or your staying here through Christmas.....so with seabag, hat box, ditty bag and several other things hanging from her down she went.  I told her we only have lived in the southfor 5 yrs and she was turning into a southern belle....girl from Pennsylvania should know how to walk in the snow..LOL  Thanks Ksmom, we will know in the next 2 days if she will be home for Christmas......

Hi All.........I received my I'm a Sailor call tonight!  Was beginning to think I would not make it through these last 2 weeks but it was all worth it to hear how totally happy she was tonight.  Most days it kept me going reading all of your post and knowing that it would all turn out well in the end.  Thank you to all of you that have checked in to see how we were doing.  Now hoping we still have time to get her home for Christmas.  Merry Christmas to all of you.

Pam you are so lucky to live so close.  That is awesome that he can use amtrak.

I am envious, enjoy it while it lasts.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

Hey ladies...miss talking with you everyday!  Glad to see so many of us getting our sailors home for the holidays...we are thrilled to have ours coming in!  For those of you whose sailors are not coming home, I'll be thinking of you and will have my blue lights going as well!  I hope you will get to see your sailor soon!

My son is in charleston and is loving it!  Dodie...Michael said they finally classed up ( or many of them did--I think he said today)....so they'll be having briefs, etc...he was excited to get it started...the actual classes (learning) comes after Christmas....I guess they are pre-learning what they will be learning...

Anyway...miss you all!  God Bless you and your sailors!
