Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Linda (navynucmom) on October 20, 2010 at 7:40pm: I don't know why they are pulling his wisdom teeth, he hasn't been having any problems with them. He did tell me a couple weeks before he left that he could feel them coming in. Maybe they did xrays and decided they needed to come out. I don't know if they will give him much rest or not. Seems like he has a lot going on this week and then have to deal with wisdom teeth too, but I guess they know what they are doing.

Says his week: having 2 wisdom teeth pulled, 3 cavities filled, an IFA (whatever that is), swim qualifications, first test, and first inspection and he can't wait. He got BC glasses last week. LOL I hope he handles the wisdom teeth pulling OK. I'm just excited he is going fine!!!
