Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I havent gotten the official form letter yet but, from what the others are posting since my son left on Oct. 4 it appears is PIR may be 12/3!! Yes, for a moment I thought he was pusing towards the Thanksgiving holidays....so glad I can breathe now. Travel during TG...total maddness. But if I had to do it...I'M THERE!! Thanks moms and Jessica B for keeping us all in the loop. You are really helping me sleep at night. My hubbie thinks I'm obessed...I'm sure I'm not along. :)

My other 2 children did okay. I stashed the clean clothes I send and put the dirty ones in the wash. No cell charger. Guess I will pick up one to charge his phone for him. I am hoping to get a letter soon with a PIR date. How can you guys stand the waiting??? It's all I can do to plaster a smile on my face all day!

My kid left on the beloved plane on the 5th. I got word from my cousin that he is in division 12. Assuming Ship 9. Am waiting from a response from his recruiter! Is Ship 9 Division 9 pir date 12/3 as well?

If you open the large chat room and look at the people who are there....scroll down and look for whomever you want to chat with...if you click on their name...you can do a private chat. the problem is they may not know ou are trying to chat with them...its very antequated (sp?)
