Lynne I have a question regarding the blue candles. Should they burn continuously from the start of BS through the final division completions? I have friends who want to burn candles in honor of Nate and they want to know.

Julie you and I must have the same friend :-) I was asked the same question just this week. I'm getting more anxious as it gets closer. I'm sooooo glad that my big Sister is going too.

diannep: it is not a last name. Thanks!

jessica: Re: your post on the previous page mentioning a name...if that is a last name, you will need to delete it---for the reasons I wrote below to TMH. First names are permitted however (but not advised because recruits can be identified through these posts). But rules do not prohibit posting first names....
Comment by diannep on November 19, 2010 at 2:40pm
TMH: If the name you posted below is a last name of a recruit, you will need to delete it. Sorry...but we are not allowed to use last names on this site for the safety and security of our military loved ones! Thanks!

I have heard that some of you have your personal email being bombarded by navy for mom posts lol. I was getting over 500 a day and it was taking forever to find emails that I need to read. So here is how to fix that, if you care to. Go to your page. On the right side of your page there is a list containing inbox, alerts, friends, settings. Click on settings, then on the left click on email and then you can decide what notifications come to your private email. You will still get all your comments, messages, and posts on Navy for Moms, it just won't come to your private email address. :-)

I'll be sure to let you all know when I get my ribbons! Looking forward to meeting everyone at PIR in TWO WEEKS!! Come on December 3!
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on November 19, 2010 at 12:19pm
The blue ribbon are to show support for your sailor. They are a great way to recognize other member from N4M's at the meet and greet and especially PIR and they make a great keepsake for a shadow box or scrapbook. They have the sailors (SR"s) name on one side and div # on the other side and they are about the size of your hand and are worn near your heart.
