N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Dgharmony64 - My husband is in the same division! I hope we hear from them soon, whether by phone call or letter!

Chelsea and plattecountymom

I guess I feel a little better that I wasn't the only one to get a yellow paper without a letter or short note. My daughter is in ship 02 div 908. I do miss her a lot, but I worry more about how she's doing emotionally.

Vicki, On the right side of this page is a clickable title in the "PAGES" column for the recruit petty officer positions. The "PAGES" are located on the right side of this page just under the member icons.

dgharmony, She doesn't need to do anything if you are not going to see her at that time. All recruits not adopted out for the day are taken to one of the local organizations for the day. Answer all your phone calls that day, your recruit will probably get to use a borrowed phone, and if you have skype stay close many have computers for the m to use.

Hi Leslie! Have you received a letter yet? We are in Texas so it has a ways to travel ( that's what I am telling myself anyways)

Hello Ladies! I am so glad I found this group. I am still having a hard time with my son being gone. The only mail we have received from him is "the box" and the letter telling us when graduation is. He is in Div 907 ship 02. Anyone else have a loved one in that group?
