Susie - Wow!! What wonderful new for both of your sons. I know you are very proud!

Katie is still out to see. I mailed off a package of goodies and a few things she wanted. They arrive somewhere at sea. Katie certainly would like to worship in church for Easter and I think she will be able to. The Essex is offering a Gator Cruise in July - a 3 day trip for a family member(s). Not sure if it will work or not for us/me to go this time.

Thanks for sharing the news and asking about Katie.

Since her visit was a secret from everyone but myself and finally her big sister Alicia, Katie surprised everyone as she showed up at church, our Lutheran elementary school and high school.....then at Christmas with my family. It was TOO Short, but then it always is and will be.

Katie is somewhere in the East China Sea and will be out until almost Easter.

Susie - Congratulations to Gabe. I'm sure he is looking forward to graduation, settling in to his base and starting to perform.

We'll keep your younger son in our prayers -- what's his name?

Susie - Have a wonderful time with Gabe and the family in Maryland! Glad to hear that he is feeling better. Can't imagine if something like that happened to Katie while over in Japan. Have a blessed Christmas.

Julie - That's great that Michael will be home for Christmas and into the New Year too. My brother served during the Persian Gulf War and have ahd 2 nephews over in the sandbox the last 2 years. One served in the National Guard and then his brother went over with the Army. Certainly will have extra prayers during his deployment. Blessings on your Christmas.

Wonderful to hear and so glad you all can be together. I'm sure it will be very special. What is the exact date of the wedding?

I sent a package to Katie in Sasebo, Japan, with a frosted brownie in it that says 'Happy 1st Anniversary' with anchors on it to celebrate her entering the Navy 10/8/08. On October 9th she will be going to the Navy Ball. Anyone elses sailor going the the event to celebrate the birth of the Navy?
