I just rec'd my daughter's grad pack. No phone call yet ;( I also rec'd 3 letters - one written 10/27, another 10/29, and a quick note on 11/2. I read someone on one of the groups I'm in that they can only send out mail once a week? Don't know if that's true or she was just conserving stamps ;)

Anyone know someone who has a daughter from Maryland doing AECF(?) Advanced Electronic Computer who is named Jen. She is one of Katie's shipmates who said her Mom/Grandma were coming for Thanksgiving and may be adopting her for Thanksgiving. I can't seem to find someone from Maryland with a daughter in our group. Maybe she is not on N4M.

Sorry about what happened with the care package. We made sure that everyone who asked for Katie's address understood how little she could take with her and the there were absolutely NO packages to be sent. ONLY cards and letters, pictures....until after boot camp.

Katie mentioned that she has 3 RDCs - 2 guys and 1 girl. She said she really didn't like the female - quote - "She tries to be mean and turns more to be evil and rude. Hopefully she'll mellow out some." Sounds like something she would do with the package.

How many other PIR 12/5 have someone in DC? Katie is in Div 903 Ship 06. Just wondering how many others have their son/daughter in Damage Control.

Our cell phones is just through Virgin Mobile-pay as you go-we're not big cell phone users at this time. So, I got to thinking when everyone was starting to talk about phone calls that I should tell Katie I promise to have my phone charged and 'On' and with me from 7:30A to 10P, just in case I am not at home. We have a direct/family line while I am at work part-time, but what if I am not available. Hopefully she will get the letter before she gets the chance to call. I'm not sure how' quickly' they receive receive our letters. Her first 2 took from Chicago-just outside Detroit until Thursday and then last week it was Wednesday. She wondered if her 2 younger brothers were ever going to write. One had written the Sunday before and she hadn't received it. I'm thinking that if a lot of Mom's/family members are writing pretty regularly, there's got to be a lot of mail...I'm not sure how many recruits are at BC at one time. Does anyone else?

Well, I haven't received a call --even a missed one -- or rec'd my graduation pack yet either.

He was having some of his "processing" stuff done and apparently he told the guy that I haven't heard from him since he got there, except for his quick "I'm here" call on 10/14. I got to talk to him for about 5 1/2 minutes and then he had to go have his eyes checked. This is the only thing I've received so far, my son (his name is Aaron) said that he was able to mail some letters on Monday and I'm hoping I get them today or tomorrow.

I spoke with my son this morning for about 5 minutes, he is on Ship 7, Div 030 and he told me that Grad Packs are being sent out in the next couple days.

Wish I knew if my daughter Alicia was going to surprise us and come to Katie's graduation. It would be something she might do. I know that her nursing clinicals are done by Thanksgiving, so she might be available. I wish I knew if she was coming for grad on 12/5..than I would say I'd take you up on your offer of a ticket.
