Does anyone know if the Ramada provides a free shuttle?  The other hotels mention it but they don't.  Has anyone else gotten a call for security clearance?

NavyMomAllison:  MeetNGreet is at the Ramada Waukegan, 6-8pm, on the 17th...unless you all do one on your own somewhere else.  Ramada's is for all Navy families PIRing on the 18th.

Beth....when is the Meet & Greet??
Comment by NavyMomAllison (PIR 3/18) on January 28, 2011 at 5:53pm

We have reservations at the Residence Inn in Waukegan.

Angie:  There will be wheelchairs at RTC manned by sailors.  You can call the Public Affairs Office to make sure, but they were there when we were, just waiting for those who needed "a ride" into the Hall...

On adding the MeetNGreet so that people can RSVP, you can do it on the calendar at the right (add it as an event for the 17th) or start a discussion group up top for it and let people RSVP that way. The week of PIR, someone will need to call the Ramada and give them a "ballpark" figure of those from this group attending the MeetNGreet.

Is there a certain calling card we should get for our SRs? I was going to go get one before I send out my next letter.
Comment by cinder on January 28, 2011 at 5:28pm
Sounds like I better make reservations now before all the rooms are gone.  So we all are going to have a meet and greet Thursday night before PIR?

Yes Beth  White Oak Drive   and not sure how late we will be up since we need to get up pretty darn early on Friday am   Couple of questions for you

We are driving in and my 80 yo mom is flying into Milwaukee  If we leave here at 7 am  we wont be there til closer to 6 pm  Her flight arrives at 4 pm and I may just have my husband drop me off at the Ramada inn so I dont miss a minute of the M&G and him go fetch mom

how far is the hotel from there?   Do you know anywhere in the vicinity that we can get her a wheelchair?   She wont be able to walk to the hall  and you dont per chance have a air mattress
