Ryan, my son will be going to Groton after bc. He's going to be on a sub but I don't remember what he was going to be doing exactly. I think it was working on computers. (?)

Angie:  Usually refundable tickets are very expensive.  Did you compare that price with nonrefundable ticket cost + change fee if needed?  I found that to be cheaper.  I had to change my non-refundable ticket when my son was asmoed.  Good news...same flights were cheaper for the new dates....bad news...still had to pay $150 change fee, but since flights were cheaper, it was like the change fee was only $89 rather than $150.  You may want to check into that.

conster  I made my reservation today for the hotel   I dont have to pay for it until we check in   I did the same with the rental car   Im going to make my mother's REFUNDABLE airline reservation tomorrow for her   I guess the budget thing is all very subjective.   How many days are you staying, driving  vs flying, how far driving and how expensive is gas and there looks like a wide range in hotels  from about 50 a nite up to 150+  adn then of course meals

yeah i said thats where i was thinking about booking ma reservation because of the shuttle and the price and everything else...then when i went read the reviews on it alot of people talked about dead birds decomposing and how it had a really bad smell....so that made me change my mind...so i decided to come on here and ask if anyone had good experiences at that hotel or any other one

I think you made a wise choice, Angie...our visit there was very nice.

I just booked at the Residence Inn    Made sense so we can cook dinner or lunch there most of the nites   Since both I and my sr love to cook Im sure he will welcome that

Would have been nice, SarahA, if your recruit was in the Cardinal Division then!  Seems very appropriate for a huge fan to be a part of that group!

LovinMa:  Didn't you mention that you were going to stay at the Ramada?  JessicaBSailor stayed there last year and said it was fine.  The Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, and Courtyard are all nice too.  All in Waukegan.
