thank you k-town mom....i was freakin out im like omg my kids are not goin to b able to see their father!! i feel assured now and can breathe but yes i seen that i will need their birth certificates but i will bring both just in case of any suprises...but when i seen that they would need those documents i thought their name had to be on the list....and thats awsome that someone on here has a loved one on the same ship as my boyfriend it makes it easier on both of us now cuz if we have questions about something we know that they are both in the same place!!!

ok so im re-reading this form letter and i see that my SR put down the names of 4 adults that are attending his graduation...we have a 3yr old and 6month old (which they can sit on my lap they do not need seats) does he still have to put their names on the list meaning that 2 adults would loose their spot and not be able to attend??!! anyone have any answers to this....

One thing I did will save your sailor a lot of time and therefore should give them more time to write. Pre-address the envelopes with their return address and your address and if possible others that they may be writing. I made labels and addressed several and put stamps on them. She thought I was a genius lol. She wrote about how much time it saved her and then gave me the names of her friends and had me make labels for all of them and send them to her. Needless to say I was the coolest mom ever, lol. I also wrote a letter of encouragement to  a "sailor" and put it in with her letter and told her to pass it on to someone who wasn't getting any mail and she did, and then that girl passed it on to another and I began receiving mail and sending letters to both of those girls and at PIR I got to meet them and hang out with them at the mall. They had no family support and no one came to see them at PIR so I had 3 daughters that day and we still keep in touch :)

Conster:  Either size envelope should be fine to send although some recruits have said to use the smaller one as it stores better in their locker.
Comment by diannep on January 27, 2011 at 1:56pm
Yes, Sarah is right, Conster.  You can send paper, etc....but they also are given Navy stationery. Some ladies just tuck an extra sheet of paper and stamped envelope in with each of their letters.

drum roll please!!!   ever the risk taker  I went ahead and changed our group to no longer say that the PIR date would be either 3 18 or 3 25....Since several of you lucky bums have gotten your letters saying PIR is 3 18....we are now officially PIR'ing on 3/18!!
