WOOOHOOOOOO also! The box has arrived (per younger son). But I told my husband I would wait till he gets home at 9pm to open it.  I can't wait to go home and see a box! lol....also..I called my son's recruiter today...he is in Ship 2 Div. 918.

Angie--our son's are in the same Div. :)

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!! I am doing the box dance. Yea....Yea...Yea...I got it today, the kid in a box, but sadly, no kid. All of her clothes, and personal items were in the box, as well as her plane ticket and a big manilla envelope. Now, I just need the letter from her. When I called her recruiter earlier he told me a little info: Ship 7, Division 103. Does anyone know the graduation date???

MerryMarylander:  yes, letter says PIR 3/11/11.  Lala commented that BC is only 7 weeks for a lot of them...Beth...you should be receiving your letter any day...I live in FL...was surprised to get the box and letter at the same time..

Seabee Wife, when my daughters husband was there at bootcamp she drew hearts and other pics all over the envelope. Of course she had just recently finished bootcamp and said he needed to toughen up and be a man lol. I think she was paying him back for doing the same thing on her letters he wrote to her. :)

Got the address from the recruiter about an hour ago. He is checking on the PIR as well. Terrijean: you got notice of 3/11/11? Our sons left the same day...HMMM....I will let you all know as soon as I hear.

My husband wants to send him a Valentine :>) - I told him no because they will make fun. He just laughed...Is anyone else sending Valentine's?

It is only 7 weeks for a lot of them. It depends on how long it takes to fill up a division and according to my sailor if someone gets taken out of a division in the first week out so they will get someone who just got there to take their place.

received my letter and box as well today.. my son stated that graduation is 3/11??  He reported for BC on 1/18..that's only 7 weeks...Isn't BC at least 8 weeks?
