@BETH: Wow, 2 bootcamps at once! You must be one strong lady! Blessings to all of you and how proud you will be! Hoping that the PIRs are not at the same time!
Ladies, for those of you getting addresses from the recruiters to mail letters now...just remember to check it with the one on the form letter when it comes. Sometimes the recruiter's addresses are not quite correct, but the letters will get there. May just take a bit longer. Another option is to start writing now, number your letters, wait for the form letter (usually arrives within 10 days to 2 weeks after they leave...sometimes before)...and then address all and mail! They love getting lots of mail at once. Remember...mail is held from your recruits for the first 2 weeks of bc. So although you may be writing now, they won't get them until they have been there for 2 weeks. That is why I waited for the form letter address when my son was there.
@MYSTERYFAN: If he is GradNGo to Great Lakes base, he will move over there right after PIR (takes 3-5 hours). He will then use his phone card (no cells yet) to call you to pick him up there. That base is right next to RTC. Then you have him for the weekend, and maybe even for overnights! He can also return to that base with his cell, laptop, and some civilian clothes (can't wear those yet, but has them when he can).
If he is kept at RTC for a few days (not GradNGo), he will be moved over to GL base probably Tues or Wed. He will still have the weekend to visit with you (unless he has watch and misses a bit). He will just have to return to RTC each night. He will know a few weeks before PIR if he is GradNGo.

My hubby will be a BU (builder - Seabees Baby)! A school will be in Gulfport, MS for 12 weeks, I'm hoping to be able to fly down for a long weekend while he's there. (hopefully while it's still cold at home).
