Yes   this is for all those who had their son leave this past week   My son arrived at GL yesterday    Its all pretty new to me   My dad was army in WWII and that's about it   besides some of his brothers

Ive been sad all day  but terribly proud I wrote a letter and its my first day back to work in a week.  Two people came into my office and it was hard    Im hoping by starting this group we can look forward to something fun

I was told that PIR could either be the 18th or the 25th and if it turns out to be the 25th I can change the date....I didnt think to ask why it would be one more week   That would just not be good!  but I guess it is what it is...I keep repeating that over and over again

I think this is my group - this was the tentative date we were told as well. Son left on Tuesday 1/18 from Fort Meade, Maryland. He was upbeat and excited, He is third generation (GF was a Captain, USNA '39 and uncle was on subs in the early 1970's). Hubby and I are sad he is not with us but we couldn't be more proud of the decision he made.

I told my son I would do my own bootcamp here (I'm overweight) and be thinner when I see him. So today's the 1st day. I'm having a hard time leaving the computer though (hmmm). So I must get off and up (darn).

Same here Oregon  I thought it would be good karma to make it the 18th!  How are you doing today?   Thought I was doing alright until a friend stepped into my office and I started crying!  Geez

Thanks, Angie, for starting this group. I hope our boys stay with this date and no delays. I hope your week goes well.
