I stayed at the Quality Inn...it was very nice...VERY...I enjoyed it..It was affordable for the 4days I stayed at that hotel...I was at the La Quinta Inn/Suites but it sucked..I had a great week...I so enjoyed meeting all the sailors moms and dads...and wifes and hubby...It felt so wonderful to be around folks whom has a loved one whom has decided to serve. Hope we can meet next March for a yearly get together..Blessings to all:)...Charlotte

Anyone who lives in the VA Beach/Norfolk area. There is a group of us planning on meeting one day for lunch (shooting for Thursday) the last week of April. I will be there that week for spring break. We would love to meet as many other moms/families etc as possible for lunch one day. If you have a sailor there and they could possible come that would be awesome. If you are in that area and would like to join us please let me know. Send me a private message with your name and number. We will keep the time and place in private messages only. Thanks

We stayed at the Residence Inn and the staff couldnt have been nicer!   It is pricier than the Ramada Inn but we had a full kitchen and cooked almost all of our meals   and on Thursday there was dinner with beer and wine complimentary at the hotel   So what we could of saved from staying at the Ramada we made up for it at the Residence.   Very convenient, an outdoor pool which was closed obviously, nice spacious rooms, complimentary hot breakfast each morning  It provided a nice homey atmosphere which my sailor truly appreciated.   He loved helping to cook dinner.   In fact on Friday my husband used the outdoor grill and cooked steaks   He called down to the front desk 30 minutes before hand, and they cleaned the grill and started it for him

I stayed at Springhill suites by Marriott and it was like brand new my sailor loved the shower and chair at computer desk.  Nice breakfast, nice people working there.  Very close to the base.

Thank you navymom and navymalespouse.  I really appreciate the reviews.  Anyone else...please keep them coming.  I really need to make my decision tomorrow.  Thanks again.

We stayed at the Ramada Inn last weekend.  We stayed in the 3 queen bed room. It was great.  Yes, it is a bit grimy (pool, hallway..etc)...but the room was fine.  We were not there that much.  Very direct to the command center (one left turn only...4 direct miles), had wi-fi and we loved the restaurant downstairs (we ate there twice)....I would stay there again.  The Navy lodge...yeah...not my cup of tea.  Breakfast served its purpose...I don't know what the other rooms were like but we had plenty of room for 4 adults and 1 child

Cupcake- we were there last weekend and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Lake Forest/Mettawa. Got good rates off priceline and it was only about 15-20 min drive to the base. Very easy to get to. No free breakfast but comfy beds and the pool looked great. staff was very friendly. Food places about a mile up the road.  They also offer a navy graduate rate when you go to there website. But priceline was 20 bucks cheaper. just not refundable.

Hey there...if anyone is left!!  We have a PIR date of 4-8.  I was wondering if anyone stayed at the Ramada.  We have reservations there...but I see so many comments about the smell.  Can someone give me a review, or a review of anyplace else that you stayed.  Much appreciated, as we are about out of time.  I see the Navy Lodge is fully booked for our weekend!
