Hi! My daughter is in Ship 09 Div. 136 ...
Hi Kathy's Mom! My mother got another letter yesterday and it too said he was having his wisdom teeth pulled. On top of that he is sick with a cold. I am so glad that we do have this board as well! It is helpful! My mom did not get a phone call this week but maybe next week. We made reservations for PIR at the Mariott Hote!l. I can't wait!! I am so glad that you got a call from your daughter that is excellent!
Hi Karly's mom!
My mom did get a letter on Friday and than one again on Sat. The first letter was good...the second letter was a little bit of a downer but he is doing ok. I am glad that they get antibiotic thats good for he has a cold as well...so maybe he is feeling better by now. No letters today due to it being Presidents Day. Made reservations for the Mariott Hotel. 38 days left!!! How was your day?
Well it's been over 3 weeks and no letter or phone call. Hopefully that doesn't mean he's in trouble. I just wish I'd get some sign of life.
I got a 20 minute phone call today at 3:00pm.(central) area code 847 "pay phone" came up on my caller ID and I was so excited!!!! He sounded great, everyone did well and they received the academic flag (at least I think thats what I heard) he was talking 90 to nothing and he never was one to talk on the phone---to me anyway. I hope every one on this ship gets a call today. It was great. They are lovin' those letters from home!
My mom got a phone call today as well!! And like your phone call she said my brother was talking a mile a minute!! My brother talked about the flag as well. He told her about her first few days which were awful. He said they are getting better as a division!! GO DIV 136!! He says he gets a letter everyday...lol most are from me!! but the letters are out of order. He is doing great. My mom was so so happy!!! It was like a big weight lifted. I think we will all sleep a little better tonight!!! God Bless!!
Went to the mailbox and there was a letter. A few minutes later the phone rang! He's doing really well and does not claim to be homesick. He had a very happy smile in his voice and told me he's still sure he's in the right place.
It sounded like it (the flag) was for the ship/div our kids are in on an eagle test (?) I was ecstatic and he was excited, I'll try to make notes next call....and he did say there were workers in the galley that are counting down the days to pir with the kids (they leave out the same day!) He said there was a great bunch of folks in his ship, I can't wait to meet them and you'all too. I'm thinking I'll make a purse with my Liberty Ann on it (not my real name!) and if the girl's mom from Rome GA could e-mail me...you may know us.
Hi moms of Ship 09 Div. 136! Got a call from my daughter today, she said most of the group is Grad 'n go after graduation on March 26. Did anyone else get that message? Also heard they were coming together as a group, which is great news!
