My son is in Ship 9 too and his first letter also said he was with a bunch of 'talkers' as he put it. He said he doesn't like it and there's nothing he can do about it. Personally, I think it's funny for MY son because all in highschool HE was that talker/troublemaker/classclown. I'm sorry for those of you who's sons were GOOD and have to deal with this crap, but for my son I'd call it carma coming back to him.

I'm wondering if these trouble makers are just out of highschool. I think if Jake would have joined just out of high school he'd still be the same way. But, he joined as a 20yo and has been out of school 1 1/2y now. He's lived with no direction for all that time and finally decided to DO something with himself, so I'm sure he's more serious than he would have been 1 1/2y ago.

We just got our frst letter form our son. t was written on Feb 8th and got to us on the 19th. He had only been there 6 days but still had his sense of humor. They had just finished week 1 and he commented that he knew this would be a challenge but he didn't realize how much diffferent it would be. It was great to get the letter as it was our first and great to hear he was still well grounded in himself. He made comments about meeting great guys and the team aspect so that was good.

One thing, when we got the form letter his address was ship 09 DIV 137 but when we got his first letter he had his address as SHIP 03 DV 137. Anyone know which ship DIV 137 is. We have written him a ton of letters but will they get to him if they have the worng ship and street address on them?

April my son said about the same thing in his letters - troublemakers in their group and that was making things more difficult than they needed to be. I hope as a group they learn the importance of working together to get things done.

I can tell my son is wondering if there graduation will be backed up.
Trouble makers in the group 8 kicked out, It doesnt even think they will learn to march in time lol
I think they have that in the begining with the ones that want to be kicked out.

That's funny Cindy - I actually wrote in my letter today to my son to tell his everyone in his Div to write all their families and tell them about navyformoms so we can connect with more families before the graduation.

In one of my letters my bf said that there are 83 guys in his division. His bunkmate is Johnathan F. He said that he told him his girl gones on the navy site and thought it would be cool if we ever talked. Just curious if that sounds like your bf/husband? Getting the letters makes this so much more bearable.
