I was wondering if there is anyone else with SR's in this division! April 1 PIR date! Would love to be able to talk with you all and hopefully help each other get through the next 8 weeks. My SR left for BC on February 7.

Here is a link also to another group for our division!!

Hello. Our recruit also left Feb. 7th, he left from Dallas. We received his letter Saturday and he is in the same ship and division and his PIR was listed as 04/01/11 as well. What a great moment to finally hear from him:)
Hi, I am anxiously awaiting a phone call! Just to hear his voice! I have never gone this long without talking to him. I miss him so much!!
I created a group for us http://www.navyformoms.com/group/ship04div806pir4012011. I think it will be easier for other moms to find a group instead of a discussion

Hi ProudMomma, just got my letter and my son is in ship 04/ div 806 also. Now to send letters!

@ceubank- we're not too far away, we're in Katy, right outside of Houston, and our son also left 2/7. always nice to meet fellow texans

This has been a long week, and yes I am so proud of our Texas young men and women.Have you received a phone call yet. We are anxiously waiting. We have mailed many letters, but have not received any as of yet. Hope things are going well for you and your family.
Got my first letter today. It was short and sweet but he sounds great. Hope you get one soon, hang in there!
Our son is in that division with an April 1 PIR. He also left for bootcamp 2/7 from New Orleans. We received our form letter on Saturday!
Hi SwmmerS, nice to meet you!!  Its nice to meet people who have children in the same division!!!

Hello! Just wanted to give an update about wearing scarves to PIR 4/01/11... each division is picking a color of scarf to wear (we might encourage other family members to wear the color as well), and that will make us very identifiable in the stands to our division!  Think about your color (it looks like 115 has already chosen yellow). and get involved in the comment section on PIR 4/01/11.  Thanks.  I am keeping a spreadsheet of who is is what division, etc.  and looked for people in other groups this afternoon.  In your letters, ask your SR to ask their Moms, Dads, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, etc. to join N4Ms!

Maybe add your PIR date to your discussion title above... we have some that have moved to 4/8.

Has anyone booked hotel rooms or have any ideas of where to book a room. Just want to make sure and stay pretty close.

Yes, we have booked at the Navy Lodge. Call them on the phone and then verify via email your information. Almost everybody says that you will have to call them back for corrections.  We chose to stay there so our son doesn't have to worry about getting back to quarters until later. If we were staying at a hotel, we couldn't visit as late due to the fact we would have to drive him back to the base. I don't like driving at night, and it being a strange town, and not knowing the traffic, etc., it just made more sense to us. Plus the price was really good, and we got a kitchenette room!

Good luck!

Haven't booked anywhere yet but I hear the Residence Inn and the Ramada Inn are good so we'll probably pick one of those
