This is the final test for your SRs.  They will be tested on all they have learned and situations they could encounter when deployed on a ship.  It is a 12-hr overnight drill.  They go to the Disney-created USS Trayer in the evening and finish up the next morning with a capping ceremony. At this ceremony, they trade their Recruit caps for their Navy caps, graduate, and are now sailors!  Teamwork is the name of the game...they are divided into small groups and must function well together.  They will be evaluated as team members as well as individuals. This is what a Chief said about BattleStations:  150-300 SRs go through a night, out of that 3-10 may fail and have to repeat with another BattleStations group, teamwork is the key, if all recruits keep their mouths shut, listen and focus, and work as a team...they should pass.

The divisions will go through with their brother divisions.  Up to 4 divisions can go through a night.  The 900 and 800 divisions go randomly, sometimes tagging on to a set of brother divisions, sometimes going with each other, sometimes going alone.  They can start a week before PIR, either Wed or Thurs nights.  They start with the lowest numbered divisions and work up (this doesn't include 800 and 900 divisions). They do not go through on Fri or Sat nights because of Captains Cup on Sat. a week before PIR. This is a fun athletic event for all divisions in the PIR.  BattleStations can then continue Sun-Wed nights the week of PIR.  If an SR has to repeat BattleStations, he/she will go with another group in their PIR group--unless they have to go the night before PIR.  In that case, they will go with the next PIR  BattleStations group, be at PIR in full uniform---a sailor, but will not be able to march due to being up all night.  This is a rare occurence, but it does happen.  Also, the SRs must have passed all of their tests before going through BattleStations.  That could be another reason that a SR may miss his/her own division's BattleStations night and go with another.

"I'm a Sailor" calls usually start around 2 pm the day they finish, and can go on for a long time.  If someone does not hear from their sailor that day, it could be that he/she had watch and will call the next day.  We suggest that all of you keep your phones handy all day waiting for these calls as the times vary as far as when the calls come in.  When you hear from your sailor, please ask if all in the division passed and post that on the board for those who have not heard from their sailors yet.

The brother divisions in this group are:

129+130, 131+132, 133+134, 135+136, 137+138

922

Please ask your SR when their division's BattleStations date is, post on here and on the main board, and we will get a schedule started. HOOYAH!

Alrighty 132 ladies!!! Looks like battlestations is on their calendar!! Sounds like it will be Thursday, April 7th and goes until Friday morning...so be expecting calls on FRIDAY APRIL 8TH!! So exciting! Almost done!

Hey TropikalParadize,

Is this battlestations date only for this division or all of them?

Oh my goodness!!! This post was very helpful!! Thanks so much (diannep) for the information. I will be asking my SR about his division when I write back tonight. Only 22 days left and I can't wait for the I am a "sailor" phone call either. I know that my recruit along with all the other divisions are going to do a great job!!! I'll be keeping you all in my prayers division 137!!!

Thanks, TropikalParadize, for the date.  On the calendar now with 131 (brother division).

Humble, your div date will be after that.  Probably early the week of PIR.  Ask for a specific date and post here so I can add it to the calendar!  Thanks!

Okay diannep thanks for the comment.

I will post the date as soon as my bf writes me back.

Hi Humble, my recruit is in the same division as yours! :)

Hey Mary,

Have you heard anything from your SR about how our division is doing?

Nope nothing! I asked in a recent letter so hopefully he says something. In the beginning he said there was a lot of talking all the time...but nothing like that recently!
haha my SR was slick he said his next call home would be April 8th.  Didn't say it was BattleStations!  Maybe he didn't want to jinx it.  N4M is GREAT  where were you when he was little?  I would have been one step ahead the whole time! lol
Done.  Thanks!

Thursday, April 7/Friday 8    Div. 129 & 130

I noticed that it's also listed for 131 and 132.  I just got off the phone with my son and he told me that's when his division is going.  Can there be four at a time?

Yep, sure can!  And since his division and 130 go first, that is exactly right!  Thanks!  I have added to the schedule.
