tynavymom, I was stationed in Goose creek my first duty station in 1988. It is really country to me. I was coming from NYC. I was on a Submarine Tender back then, that one is decommissioned now. It is a house for the fishes now. LOL The base was not bad, small but not bad.

Just got a call from my daughter she is leaving on Sunday going to San Antonio. She stated that they had to sign a page 13 which stated that they can not have electronics with them when they get off the plain. So I explained to her that she is not attached to them anymore. She told me that they told her that they are under GL control for 24 after they leave leave GL. I do understand that is for insurance purposes. So I will bring it and then take it back and send it to her later. I will just give her her cell phone for emergency purposes.

Just had a long call from my son. According to him all Pensacola sailors are flying out Sunday at 2 am - so we get an extra day! No hall of Fame divisions, but Div 900 is the gold and my son's 129 is blue. That gives both an extra hour of libery both nights. They aren't flying out of O'Hare, but head out of base around 2am, get to airport at 3, fly at 6 am. WOOHOO!!! We see them in HOURS!

Jaime.....sigh.....so wonderful!

Sandyld7:  Most likely bussed out at that time to wait for flights.

tynavymom - our son is going to Nuke school. He called Thursday night to tell us that he was flying out Sunday am (like 2 or 3 am?)

So we got our flight changed.
