Just got a call from my husband today!! Such a good call, I got to talk to him for an hour and a half!!  That was great, he sounded so good!!  Congratulations to Sandy, Maisy, Justeeny, and LM Mom and anyone else I missed!!! So awesome to have them until Sunday!! That's super great, I hope there will be more that leave on Sunday instead of Saturday.  Having another day with them is huge!!  I am lucky because my hubby goes to GL after boot camp.

Oh yah he said that DIV 132 got 2nd place in Captain's Cup!! WOOT!!

And good luck to the SR's doing BS tonight!  They will all do great!

My son is a nuke also and the last I heard from him was that he was flying out Saturday morning.  He is in Battlestations tonight so I hope to find out something definite from him tomorrow!!!

Dianne... I absolutely understand that they would leave at 2am for the airport, but if he was flying out Sunday versus Saturday that would be great. And I don't think there are enough of them going to South Carolina to charter from what I've heard.

maryquitecontrary:  They usually bus them all out to the airport at 2 a.m.  and then they wait on their flights.  Sometimes they do charter flights if they have alot of sailors going to the same place.  Hope they don't do that because families can't see them at the airport then.

kim, mine went to Meridian, but that was over a yr ago. He bussed out early on sat morning, flight was delayed...several times...missed their connection in Atlanta so Delta put them up overnight.

Sandy - that's what my Nuke guy said as well...he'd be leaving for the airport at 2am Saturday. It would make sense that all Nuke guys would fly out together....there's not that many of them and I'm sure the A school only wants to do one airport pick up! I'm driving so it's not a big deal to just get an extra night at the hotel....Crossing my fingers!!!

And sending prayers for the guys doing the Battlestations tonight, too!!

Maryquitecontrary - originally he said he was told he was flying out at 2 am on Saturday, so we bought our tickets to come home Saturday afternoon. But when he called tonight, he said his orders were to fly out at  2 am SUNDAY instead of Saturday. I just called and changed our flights to come Sunday morning. Really glad to have the extra day!

I would think all of the Nuke guys are flying together?
