Jaime, I retired as a MA1 so if you need information let me know. I went to Lackland AFB for A school in 1998 and just retired in 08. It is so nice to have a fellow MA in the mix. I will be visiting my daughter in July maybe we can plan a trip to see our daughter together since mine is on the other side at Ft Sam Houston.

What a phenomenal graduation!  This graduation makes everything else pale in comparison.  I was great to meet the moms at the meet and greet.  A big thanks to the Ramada Inn for hosting it!  They went out of their way to accomodate us.  We spent the weekend with our daughter because her A school was in Great Lakes.  Boy am I glad I decided to stay until Sun.  We were able to run all of her errands, and get her situated in her new ship.  Are there any other moms that have kids in A school in Great Lakes?  I guess my next step is to join the A school group.

Coloradomom,He made a good choice. I have had USAA for 20 yrs if he has not told you with him being a member he can get the whole family into the bank. They have great benefits. Go online and check it out.

I spoke with our son last night and he bought renter's insurance through USAA. Since they are active duty they can join and its a great company. All their personal items computer, phone etc and uniforms would be covered. Minimal cost for peace of mind. Unfortunately, things walk away where ever you are. My husband works on an Army post and they get calls daily for this type of theft.

Thanks again for all your valuable information and help. It was unforgettable and worth every sleepless night. We all can be so proud! Woke up to snow here!

Good evening ladies, there is one thing I want you to discuss with your sailor and that is about starting a TSP account. TSP standards for Thrift Savings Plan. It is like a civilian 401k. I did not get this when I was in but, I have it now and I regret not having it back then. Google TSP and do some research it. You will not be disappointed.

Hello everyone!! got home last night from a wonderful time with my daughter Ashley.graduation was beautiful and magical. My fiance left our camera recorder case that also had our camera and his iphone in it at the hotel lobby as we were leaving for graduation Friday morning.I'm wondering if theres anyway someone from division 130 could send me pictures from the drill hall and the graduation since we were all sitting in the same section for div.130 and would be about the same pictures I probably would have taken.

Thank you! I will be forever grateful.......Luciana

Got home last night around 9pm. Had a great visit with my son even if we had to sit at the airport for 17 hours before he left for Mississippi. He was so handsome in his uniform and talked so mature and just his stance was different. I would have paid a million dollars to see him graduate every penny spent was well worth it. Congrats to all of those fine young men and women you are Awesome. Sailors Rule.

What a great weekend! Loved seeing the difference in my son. Enjoyed sight seeing in Chicago, but wow was the traffic bad Sat. Pm. Didnt leave enough time to get to airport because of accident on freeway. Yikes. Learned how to fly standby. My son changed his job to ATO and is headed to FLa. weather allowing. Thank you all for the info on graduation and what to expect all around. Thank you, God Bless
