Navymom, Have you been to Norfolk to see him?  Did he have ant trouble finding a place to stay?

My son has been in Norfolk, VA since Sept. and he loves it.

He works in the tower training as an "Air traffic controller"

My son just arrived in Norfolk on Saturday! He will be on the USS Albany which is a submarine. He had been in Groton, CT since April for his A School so he was ready for a change.

Where is everyone now?  Mine is still at GL until the end of March, then on to C school at Norfolk and the Enterprise.

How many others in Norfolk or Virginia Beach?

JLD-Ben&Isaiahsmom- When your son graduated from boot camp, was he a grad and go?  My younger son leaves for boot camp June 26; he is a Nuke, and we were wondering if he would be a grad and go. When Logan graduated we had all weekend to visit with him, and was wondering how much time we will have this time around.

My daughter is still in Monterey CA. She is very good friends with a son of a Mom that I talked to on here when they were in boot camp.
Katie has been home a few times. She was just home at Christmas for two weeks.

My son Logan, and his wife are stationed in Groton, CT.  He's a Corpsman at the Naval Clinic, and is enjoying everything about the area, except the snow.  We will be going to visit them in about 4 weeks.  I'm so excited to see both of them.

My son is in Groton , Ct and will graduate from A School next week. He will be going to Norfolk, Va on 2/28. His submarine training has been long and hard, but I think he is ready for the next step in his Navy career to begin.

Mine is still in GL but will be going to Norfolk in March.

navymom20, talked with Daniel last night and he said he didn't recognize the name Justin, but said that didn't mean anything because everybody uses their last name. He said he was sure no one would know him by Daniel. He met a couple of people he knew at Pensacola yesterday. One drove from Pensacola yesterday and he met her somewhere close to the base and helped her through signing in and getting to her barracks. Said he was glad to see another familiar face. We'll keep in touch and who knows maybe our sons will meet and say, I remember you. Take care.
