Ryan's mom, I hope your son in feeling better. I'll bet you can't wait to hear the stories. I wonder if any of the recruits took any time to journal. I would find that so interesting to read through. Congrats on his promotion. I have no idea what that is but I am sure any promotion is all good.

Just got a letter- my son was sick last week so thats why no phone call. He did not like the gas chamber..I don't blame him, but is doing well. Wants to wait to see us to tell the stories..that should be interesting. Says he was promoted to Seaman Apprentice.. I have no clue what that is, can anybody help me out???

I haven't heard or seen anything yet on 156 yet. Logan was running the 1 1/2 mile relay and basketball shoot out. At 6'7" does that surprise anyone! I miss our days at all his basketball games. I don't know who had more fun the boys playing or the parents watching and celebrating. ;-)

So cool about the 3rd place for Captain's cup, my son was on the volleyball team, anyone else? I can't wait to put first and last names together. On the phone today he told me about some of his friends by last name, only refer to you all by first names. I'm sure some will match up next weekend.

In the video that I watched of BS, they said that it is a very low percentage of Recruits that don't make it. If they have made it this far, they are going to do great! I'm so happy for all of our Sailors and the family members. It is such a great feeling to know that they have done so well.
Happy Birthday Doren's Mom! I used to live in ATL. Mom lives in Stone Mountain now. I love it there!
