Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I wonder if any of the recruits took any time to journal. I would find that so interesting to read through. Congrats on his promotion. I have no idea what that is but I am sure any promotion is all good.

Wants to wait to see us to tell the stories..that should be interesting. Says he was promoted to Seaman Apprentice.. I have no clue what that is, can anybody help me out???

At 6'7" does that surprise anyone! I miss our days at all his basketball games. I don't know who had more fun the boys playing or the parents watching and celebrating. ;-)

On the phone today he told me about some of his friends by last name, only refer to you all by first names. I'm sure some will match up next weekend.

If they have made it this far, they are going to do great! I'm so happy for all of our Sailors and the family members. It is such a great feeling to know that they have done so well.
Happy Birthday Doren's Mom! I used to live in ATL. Mom lives in Stone Mountain now. I love it there!
