I haven't tried to get the parking pass yet.
I really want to thank everyone for helping me through this. It's been such a great help being able to chat with and write letters to other family members, read info, and watch videos on N4M. I am so greatful for this site.

ER_Nuse32 - The Bicillin shots, is that in the PCN family? If so then my daughter would not have had to take that. Just wondering. For her sake I hope not.
That April fools joke...good one...WRONG, but very funny. haha I am very suprised that my daughter didn't do that. I would have if it was me.

Got a letter or really 2 from daughter today. So excited. She didnt mention anything out of the normal for Easter. THough she did go to church. First song they sang was one we sing all the time..and made her cry. But they are doing great. For her division 159
Monday the 5th" Gas chamber
Tuesday: Personal inspection and bunk inspection
Wedsday: Final PFA
Thursday: Academic test 3
Friday: Drill inspection
Monday-Tues Battle stations and capping ceremony ..then phone call!
Im so excited until I remembered I will be on a flight to Illinois on Tuesday. I hope its not till after I land that she gets a call.

She actually says she is going to miss bootcamp and the ppl. Hard to imagine after the first week. But I have 2 really great friends I still talk to that I went to bootcamp with in 1986. wow seems like yesterday.
Oh and on the first letter it started off all sad...Should of looked at the date first..but I was hanging on every word.. "I failed my test and will prob be cycled back" My brain went WHAT...then followed by april fools!! I will have to remember to smack her for that one...The only thing she is complaining about is there Bicillin shots...They call it peanut butter for good reason...Its thick and painful!

Were days from celebration! 8 days, 10 hrs and 17 mins to be exact!! lol

Hi everyone. I got a letter from Matt today. He wrote it on Easter. Poor kid about broke my heart when he said he woke up and looked for his Easter basket on his rack, but no such luck :( He didn't say whether they did anything special for Easter or not. He said they have firefighting all this week. His Grandpa was the local Fire Chief for many years and I think Matt will enjoy it. He also says he's looking forward to the gas chamber. Crazy kid! His Battlestations is Monday. He's been RPOC since about week two. Every letter he's proud to say he's still holding the job, so it looks like he will be the handsome young man holding a cutlass at PIR. I don't imagine he will be the only one, but it will make it easier for us to pick him out hopefully. I want to thank everyone here for taking the time to post so much imformation. I'd truely be lost without it.
Matt also said after they pass BS, they get to go to the exchange and eat candy again and make their phone calls. Says he's "pumped". I'm not sure what he's most looking forward to, the candy or the phone call!
