Zacsmom88, So glad you got a letter, it's funny how are sons are so alike, I can't wait to meet you and your son in person. Congratulations on his getting the language he wanted, boy Chinese will be great soo many opportunities in life for him with that. Since my son's job has changed I have to start all over getting information for after PIR, I think he will be staying in great lakes for a few weeks before going to San Diego CA, I wonder how far that is from Monterey, he will also be there for a couple of years, if they aren't far from each other we may meet again, that would be great.

PS does anyone know how to delete a post? As my problem has been resolved I would like to remove my original post so as not to frighten someone new to the site.

sailormomcathie and Zacsmom I had my husband go through and read all of these comments and he said your best advice is listen to what angief has to say. I'm the first to be mommabear when it comes to my family, but I also caused my husband to be passed over for a active guard job. When we were first married because I didn't get the whole chain of command thing. I was pissed at how my husband was being treated and chewed out the National Guard Brigade Commander and told him what I thought. Though he told my husband he was impressed that I would let Him have it, my husband was passed over until he could learn to reign in his wife.:) My husband is the level headed one in our relationship and he did make Captain and did a great job but I had to learn my place. Unfortunately as a mom we have even less to say about it. In your letter back to your sons check and see exactly what is going on. I also know that because my son is an Eagle Scout, he will receive E3 but not until after boot camp. At boot camp everyone is the same rank. I'm hoping this doesn't frustrate you even more and know that we are all praying for you and your kids. Hopefully you'll get some more information soon. Take Care Tami
