Well it was to late to stop me from hitting the post office, but he did get his stuff the very next day. He just had to go to the base po in the afternoon and pick it up. I was glad he had his phone for the weekend.

Thanks for all the information and advice!! I wanted you to know I'm listening :) I'm not sure my son is taking the financial class, he should since he forgets how quickly the "little things" add up. I know he said he has some buddies that have already blown all their paycheck. We have talked about that and also him waiting to get a laptop and his own phone plan until he gets to duty station. Also about cab sharing I'll pass on the best buy free ride info. I went to the post office yesterday and got boxes to mail out today of his stuff. Thank You!

We noticed when we were at the Best Buy in Gurnee that they run a free shuttle from the base to the store every Saturday. They were giving out handouts with a schedule. I am glad the kids get that financial advice.

We weren't allowed to leav anything with Mike, he said he couldn't keep them until he moved over to the A school side. I sent hime his phone & Ipod, he should have gotten them today,

It is so nice to be able to talk to Logan every night. He is still at GL waiting to be classed up for Corpsman school. At graduation, we took him his laptop and cellphone, and have been blessed to be able to talk to him often. Logan also mentioned going to finance class this week. He seems to have a good head for managing his money, so hopfully this class will reinforce our prior teachings.

The company I work for here in Mn. is headquartered out of Spokane!

Angie F - I was born, and I still considered raised, in the great Spokane Valley. In 1974 our family moved to Seattle. My grandparents had a farm in the valley off of 4th which is sadly now a housing development. Along with my three sisters and brother we have been featured many times in the Review. You know, now that I think about it, I never did get paid my modeling fees. I think I need to call my dad and collect ;-)

Brent is also staying at GL for A School. He is going to be a BM. He has been going nuts trying to get a phone to call and text.
