Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by sailormom-cathie on March 18, 2010 at 6:09pm: Hi all I got a letter today from my son!!! I also got one from my son's brother from another mother who is in Air Force boot camp!! Both are doing well. Unfortunately for me my son's letter was sooo short! The only news I got is that he has been working out and doing training stuff but he said the "cool" thing is that now he is on the Ship's Staff and that it makes things easier. He says it is basically cleaning and watch standing. If anyone else knows more about this please let me know. That was it, he apologized that the letter was so short, said he would write more next time. I did mail him out the survey, and I think from now on I will send a new survey once a week so I can get more info, LOL. Still no phone call, but thankful that he sounds good in his letter. Thank you all for helping through a rough patch yesterday, I really appreciate you all.
