Oh my gosh, I am laughing my head off right now because I was wondering why my son's handwriting was SO NICE and the same story with ALL CAPS. He said he had little time for writing so I was amazed that he had constructed such a neat letter in such a short time.... now I know ....that is too funny!!

Got a call last night and it was sooo good to talk to him. He is doing great, but had to be hospitalized during the first week due to exhaustion (unable to sleep for 4 days straight) and a sprained ankle. Now everything is going good and he talked about being made Weapons PO for the division. Does anyone know what that entails? I could hear the pride in his voice, and am happy that things have turned for the better. Hope everyones phone call is as uplifting.

I just got my first letter! He sounded very good and told me not to worry. Of course he knows that won't happen. HA Did anyone notice that the return address is different that what they gave us on the form letter? Just hope that all the letters I have written are getting to him. He says that he has made lots of friends. Maybe it's one of your kids. Lots of prayers to you and your families.

We got our first etter yesterday. It seemed very upbeat, my son Mike has passed his pt and his swim test.

When I spoke to my son yesterday, he asked me to send him some envelopes because he didn't know if they would have an opportunity to go over to the NEX. The storage bag is a good idea. I will send one with my next letter and these envelopes and also some more stamps.

He talked about how the bed had to be made and boots at the white line or they all had to do push ups. Spoke about the timed physical tests that were tough and the 15 mins to gobble down the meals. But all in all, he just sounded like he was starting to fall in line with what was expected. It was probably me just glad to hear his voice. Turns out my son called his grandmother too which made her very happy as well.
