Can they be Grad and Go and still be going to school in Great Lakes? How does that work?

ER Nuse32: I have already made reservations, so my daughter and I will be at graduation. When you were there for your nephews graduation, did you go to the Meet and Greet that the Ramada holds? My husband has his A school at Great Lakes, do you know anything about what type of liberty he might get. Thanks

Im so excited to finally get to write her...it seem like forever...not even two weeks..
So is everyone planing on going to graduation???
Anyone been to a graduation before?? I have recently with my nephew...so if you have any questions I can help.

My biggest suggestion is do not plan too much.....There liberity will depend on their group...some will get more time...some will get less. And some are grad and go's which mean they leave right away. Which is awful for those who travel to see there child graduate and only see them for a few hours.

My son is Ship 13 Div 158, so I started a group (Ship 13 Div 158) for anyone who wants to touch base.

They say if he is special ops not to...but I think its more so..no pics in uniform, training, or on location.

And I like to be a lil specific to also meet loved ones of kids that are with my daughter....I remember the bond I made in bootcamp.

I wanted to add some pics of my son, but I read somewhere that I shouldn't if he is heading to seals. Can anyone comment on this.
Comment by colleen on February 27, 2010 at 8:56pm

I am running into the same problem, 11 expected people to show up for graduation. Thank goodness children 12 and under don't count toward seats.
Comment by Sailor Garrett's Mom DIV 158 on February 26, 2010 at 6:32pm
Colleen - just so you know your child is only able to put four names down on the list to attend the PIR. These four are guaranteed seating, all others will have to wait and hope they get a seat. We are in the same boat with you, we have 6 of us, so 2 of them will have to stand back and hope they get in to watch.
