Have found a couple people with recruits in this division with my son.  There are about 30 males in this division.  Would love to connect with more family members.  Let us know you are here and send a friend request please :)

April - Have you heard from any others? How are you doing?  Hope all is going well for you.  How is your back this week?  Let me know if you get any others responding from the group.  Take care.  and yes they are required to write in all caps - my husband still writes in all caps from bootcamp 18 years ago:).
Hi okviking :)  There are 2 others besides you and myself that I know of.  Linda c and missa m.  If you go to my page and look at my friends, on the left, you will see them.  Click on their picture and it will bring you to their page and you can friend request them as well.  That makes 4 of us total, but I don't know of any others -- I was hoping starting this discussion might bring some out of hiding :)  I'll certainly keep you updated.  My back, ugh, is the same.  But, thanks for asking!  Long (and frustrating) paperwork process! ~April

Hi.  My son is in Ship02/Div 923 also.  This is my first ever experience with the Navy or any military, so it's a HUGE learning curve for me.  Look forward to getting to know other moms and learning about life as a Navy mom :-)  Angie

Hi Angie! We are in the same boat - HA - awful pun intended.  :) I also have no other military experience to draw from.  I'll be sending you a friend request and we will get you connected with other people that have recruits in our division.  There's so many people here at N4Ms that will help us through our learning curve!  I've learned so much already!  Will you be able to attend PIR? ~April

is it really just us?

:)

lol -- Angie is new :)  Be sure to friend her.  Hopefully we'll find a few more.......
My daughter is on this ship!  I too have no military experience.  Her father and his brothers and father were in the Navy but that was before I joined the family.  Now I'm the ex.  I have made my flight plans for PIR but haven't made my hotel arrangements.  Any suggestions?

Hi Lynseysmom!  :)

WELCOME!  :)  We have to get friend requests going and get you in with this wonderful group of ladies -- mostly moms of sons, Melissa's boyfriend is in this division -- and you're the first with a daughter in our group!  :)  I want to get you friends with everyone as we have started some private inbox conversations to get to know each other better.  Once you and I are friends, I can get you in touch with everyone else.

I am booked at the Ramada Inn -- that is also where the "meet and greet" is held the night before PIR.  I am totally blanking on where some others told me they were booked so I need the ladies to chime in here.

I'm not sure how to get friend requests.  You'll have to let me know.  I will book at the Ramada.  I arrive in to ORD at about 5 p.m. on Thursday.  I'm from Phoenix.

I have gotten a couple of calls from my daughter because she needed further information about extended family members to complete her top secret security clearance.  When I tried to ask her questions about what is going on, her response was "I can't talk right now, I just need to get this information".  That was so hard!  But I have gotten a couple of letters from her so that helps!

Let me know how to "friend" everyone, so we can chat!

My name is Debra.

I just accepted your friend request.

Michael's mom booked rooms at the Days Inn, about a mile away from the RTC. I will probably not be able to make the Meet & Greet because my flight arrives at 10:32 PM. Ugh.  We are staying through Monday afternoon.

Any BattleStations date given for 923?  It should be Sun, Mon, or Tues night of PIR week.  Post if you hear on the main board and in the Battlestations discussion group. Thanks!
