Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I got the "I am a Sailor" call! I knew I'd be proud, but it was such a great feeling nonetheless. I am so so proud of all these guys!

I just wanted to let you know I found a Navy Blue Scarf today for PIR. I found it at Target and its a warm one which I think we will need while we are there.

I bought one, but a friend made me one - now I am ready! Was there a good connection on your calls? I had trouble hearing.

No it was very clear. The sad thing was we wanted to hear each other talk and we were just speechless it was 11 minute call and I know he had more time to talk UGGHHH I tried to get him to call my husband but he only tried home and not his cell, wish I can have one more call.
I know we will have lots to talk about when we there Friday and Saturday. We live early Sunday morning to come back. I dont want to think about that right now.

So is mine I am new at this and lookin fro help my son want to change from naval active reserve to active. I just found out that his paperwork is wrong help!!!!!!

zosia. Not sure the ladies on here can help with that. You may need to search under GROUPS up top and see if you can find a group for "RESERVES" and ask on there. I have read on this site that others have been directed to the reserves because the jobs they had were "full" in active duty right now. Beyond that, I just don't know. Hopefully someone up in GL is helping your son with this as he is the one who will have to try and get if straightened out.
All of the ladies in this discussion are from div 140, same as your son.
