My husband is Ship 10 Div 166!
Yay!!! How are you holding up so far? I am SO EXCITED about graduation! I can't wait to see Nick!! Any mail yet, besides the "official letter"?
Sigh, no real letters yet...I think I'm scaring our mail carrier. I'm so happy that graduation is two weeks sooner than I had anticipated! 5.75 weeks to go!!! What will your son be doing after bootcamp? My husband's name is Edmund, and we'll be going to Groton for his submarine schooling.
Hi everyone! My daughter is Ship 10 Div 166 PIR 4/23/2010. I'm so excited I finally received the form letter yesterday. I loved her little note at the end. She even added a couple of little hearts. I guess that means she is doing ok.

my son is ship 10 Div 166, matthew called today and we talked about 25min. I hope to phone calls start coming for all! He sounds good, but all we could do is cry. He misses his family and his dog! Can't wait to see him, it won't be long now...thats what i keep telling myself ! I am so proud of all these men and women. This site is such a good way to feel like I'm not alone.
I sure hope I get a call soon like you did. Our kids are in the same Div. My daughter is Sarah. I'm sure they know eachother. I'm on this site every morning and night and it's really been a big help.

well it's thursday and i got a letter from matthew today. he sounds really good and upbeat now, he said that Div.165 and Div. 166 are brother divs and they have started working together as a team now. he seems really happy about that. the navy is real big on TEAM work. he said they were walking across the base the other day and saw a graduating class marching to graduation and the famlies coming in, the family members were cheering them (165 and 166) on! he said that reality slaped them in the face and made them realize that it was going to be them soon! MAN it sounds good to hear this...i hope everybody is getting there letters and phone call by now. i can't wait to see my matthew, he sounded sooo grown. he might be 19 yrs old, but he will always be my baby!
HELLO my Navy family, well i got a phone call from matthew yesterday. He said that the Div. was doing good and working well with their brother Div. 165. So they got a reward of phone calls. I hope everyone heard from their loved ones. He sounded awsome and he got to talk to his dad also. My husband is a truck driver and was'nt home the 1st call i got last Monday. He was out of sorts and sad the 1st call, but this was soooo different. He was so happy about the 2 Divs. working together. I'm so excited about graduation and can't wait to see him and how he has changed. I'm looking for a HUGH change!!!! He sounds so grown.
Just wondering if anyone has heard from anyone from Div 166.....it's been awhile!!!!! Please respond if you have anything on how they are doing.
Hi Dubbie, my daughter Kailey is in the same div but I have been in discussions on PIR 4/23/2010 and so have alot of others, have a good one!
My son Cody is in div 166. He had watch the first time they were able to call home so he didn't get to call. When he called last Sunday were were having a family reunion and it was so loud and crazy that I didn't hear my phone. He tried 3 times then left me a voicemail teling me that he missed us and that he would try to call again the next chance they got. I was so upset I started crying. My husband is always teasing me for never answering my cell phone so we were surprised that he only tried to call my phone. I have hardly put my phone down since I got the voicemail. I listen to it all the time just to hear his voice. He sounded good, but a little bummed I didn't answer (or maybe that is my impression because of my own feelings). His last letter said that he will be going straight to Groton after graduation, but may get a few days to hang out with us before he leaves.

I am so glad that there is a website for the loved ones of these Sailors. When my husband was in the Navy we didn't have this type of support. We had an OMBUDSMAN thing that I never knew how to contact, so I went thru it all with only my family to support me from home. It was very hard and I was very young and naive.

Thanks for all the support and updates (didn't know they were joimned with Div 165, that sounds good)
Sabrina
