Hi everyone...I did not see a discussion started yet for our ship and division so I thought I would create one while I am feeling full of positive energy.  If one has been started I apologize for overlooking it.

My name is Pearl and I am engaged to an amazing future sailor who I will get to see again on 4/29.  I had been having a hard time, but as of today things are starting to look up.  I finally have made contact with Bryan.  He has been writing me every night.  My envelope contained letters from 2/27 through 3/7 and 3/4 there were 2.  I feel so lucky to have someone so devoted to me and my four kids.  And I now know to expect at some point in time another envelope filled with a bunch of letters.

I am from Pennsylvania.  Where is everyone else from? Will you be going to the graduation?  I am going and will be staying at the Homewood Suites, which is approximately 11 miles from the training center.  Has anyone planned out an itinerary?  I have been so busy thinking about seeing him that so far I haven't even thought of what we may do while we are there.

My fiance mentioned that he had watch one night with a Single A / Minor league baseball pitcher from Detroit.  I know the way he loves baseball that had to be up his alley.

I hope everyone else within our division starts to finally receive mail.  It is such a good feeling to see that envelope.  Thought for sure I was going to cry like I did when I received that graduation information, but instead I am so happy.

Please feel free to ask questions.  My letters are personal, but there are sections of each letter where he is telling me about his day.  I would be more than happy to share.

My son DM said that they past all inspections and that next week they would be participating in the graduation in their staffing capacity. He said that he would be marching and carrying a rifle (unloaded :) ).   He was excited about Marlinspike (sp?)  last week and said they were going to do firefighting this next week.  He was excited because now they are getting to do the "cool stuff"!  I talked  about 5 minutes and then he talked to his Dad about 10 minutes and then he had to go quickly....little brother and sister were standing in line to talk, but didn't get a chance:(  He sounded so positive!  Sounds like the group is doing well.   Hope you all get a call!
Thank you I was hoping he could talk to some other and get tickets for them but I guess not or maybe who knows but ty so much
All these calls you are receiving gives me hope!! But I'm hoping that they call in waves because E hasn't called anyone in CA yet! For the next few hours, I am glued to my phone!!
Waiting for a call!  Thanks goliathmacdog for sharing the phone call info.
Oh no! I wonder what's wrong :/
Thanks for letting us know how he's doing!  I'd be terribly worried if I didn't get a call and didn't know... well I'm still worried about him!  And yes, E is really tall (that's why I bought platform wedges to wear to PIR!).  I hope E was able to participate in Marlinespike, inspections, and take the tests...
My son K O called Friday night and I was working and he talked to his father and then called his brother who is in the USCG. He is going to be a body snatcher for PIR.  Can't wait to see him.
I got a phone call on Friday for 40 minutes!! I was so excited!! B said that everyone in the division is doing really good and that they are starting to come together as a team! He said that next week is what they call Hell Week and then Battle Stations. I know that B has to particapte in the graduation that is this Friday and the following Friday too. I know B told that he woke up the other morning with pink eye. He also said that he gets to particpate in a graduation this Friday and the following Friday. I was also wondering if anyone knew what they were planning on wearing to the PIR? I know B told me that the warmest that it has been so far is around the 40s.
Okay thanks! I know I have been looking for something to wear that is cute, but everything that I like I am afraid that I am going to freeze in. But, I do want to look nice, so I guess I will sacrifice it too. I will probably just buy a cute jacket too so I won't freeze. I know B told me that he has been wearing his parka. I hope it warms up some too! Do you know if the graduation is inside or outside?

I'm sure our guys loved that!! Yeah I know it must really suck for them. I know that they are tired of the cold weather. Okay that's good that the graduation is inside. It shouldn't be too bad then. My husband B is going to be a body snatcher...lol. He is suppost to be staffing this week and the following Friday too! What is your SR going to be doing?

The Recruit Navy Command Great Lakes Facebook Page posts pictures of the graduations every week.  Maybe they will show some of our guys this Friday as they will  be "Staffing" this week.  It would be so neat to see a picture of someone we love!

I know that would be really neat! Is your son going to be a body snatcher too? I thought I had saw that in earlier posts.
