A "push" division is one who's graduation is pushed up. Usually they are only at BC for 7 weeks instead of 8. Keep your ears and eyes open to see if they change your graduation date.
Grad-n-Go usually refers to transferring to A-School right after graduation and moving across the street to A School.
Saturday Departure is the term for traveling to A school on Saturday.
I'm curious because while my SR isn't in your Div, she's also going to be an HM. I was hoping for SA but recently heard that training in SA is being delayed.
I certainly hope they do not change the date of graduation. I did book on Southwest but looks like rates creeping up as we get closer.
I was really hoping to have him stay in GL for A school. His recruiter told him that he was probably the last class for Corpsman school in GL. I've learned along the way that the Recruiter is mostly incorrect in his assumptions.
I am waiting for the mailman to deliver our mail. Of course....he is late today. Hoping there is a letter.
I've read that the last class of HM is scheduled for April and the first class in SA is scheduled for July.
I'm really having to work on my patience and waiting for information. I'm the type of person that wants to know what's happening NOW! :)
Yeah - I was hoping that, too. I think we are a push division because we were kept so long in Pweek and they want us to make the April 8 date but they may move us up. My son didn't say. And he hasn't written so I may never know! LOL!
I'm sitting with my husband and daughters - lol - but you can join us. Hubs is a great guy. Puts up with ME!
I can tell already that you are a em, I am certain that it is you that has to put up with HIM!! :0)
Sounds like if we all gather in a general area, we should all be fine. Even those of us who go alone.
Hey, moms! Just thought I would share what I read on the Corpsman Mom's group. Apparently, the last HM class to start in GL is April 13th. So, that would make sense if they are being told they are Grad & Go.
According to the RTC FB page, "Grad & Go recruits only refers to those recruits who stay in Great Lakes for A School and check into their school on the same day as graduation."
