Does anyone know about A school (GREAT LAKES) I'm not able to come to PIR so I wanted to still plan a long visit in the end of April. I wanted to know if they have weekends off or the evenings. I want to know I will be able to spend time with him if I go there. He is in ship 4 did 808 so he is in the pre-buds training. He never answeres my question fully so it's hard to plan this trip. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Thanks Diane!! I got the call..was very excitted!! My son didn't want me to attend PIR so I never made arrangements. I did make reservations for the 30th of April because I don't feel I can go much longer without seeing him. I just don't know how much free time they will have but oh well. I guess time will tell. Thanks Tammy
Thanks Mary...Blesssing to you also!!!
TammyFL - My DIL is attending A school at the Great Lakes. She gets liberty most weekends. At first she is not able to stay away from base. After a few weeks though she is able to leave for the weekend. She was suppose to visit a few weeks ago but plans fell through. Hope this info helps.
Tammy, My son T, from kansas, is in the same division as your son, Your son is welcome to hang out with us over the weekend if he would like. We will be at the Ramada in Waukegan.
Jeff C, You are very sweet to include him...THANK YOU!! I have a feeling he may want to do his own thing..but you never know. He is william from Florida and I will mention it to him when he calls. I made arrangements for 4/30/10 to be there...but am soo sad knowing I could be seeing him in 3 days :(
Take care
TammyFL- By the way she is a Coreman. I dont know what a pre-bud is. Liberty might be different depending on their training and jobs.
