Hi All

Just reaching out for other families that might have a SR in the same division on ship 3. I couldn't find another link for this so I'm starting one:) TJs mom

That happened to me also, I was at work and missed his call. So I was pleasantly surprised to see him call my cell phone this morining. He had purchased a phone card with 150 minutes (wishful thinking on his part:)) Therefore he didn't have to call my cell collect which I''m grateful for. Seems as though when the entire division pulls it together during a training session they get rewarded by being able to call home. With your son's voicemail you can listen to it over and over. I tried to call my son's cell after he left just to hear his voicemail, but he had his service disconnected. TJs mom
Hey 146 moms! I am a 145 mom. Some of us were trying to figure out what week and day of training they are in. Since you guys are our Brother company just wondering if any of your recruits wrote where they are at.....
This week is Hell Week which means battle stations and lots of inspections. This is NOT like Navy Seal hell week but training is intense and they are busy.
I am a 145 mom too, my son Rob is ship 3. I am yearning to know anything at all !
Ellen~ how are you doing? How's Mike?
TJs Mom~ How's he doing? Any more letters?
Miri~ How you hangin in there? Britt and Ethan doing well? BTW, how's little bro doing at home with his big bro & sis gone? Keeping you busy?

Take care ladies, let me know how you're all doing!!
Tabatha
Hi Tabatha,

Britt and Ethan seem to be doing well. Their biggest frustration is the crazy number of recruits there that don't take this seriously. A number of them apparently talk back etc and they have both had to do some intense training because of it. Their little brother Chance is 5 and "misses pushing Ethan down" lol. He did get to talk to Britt on the phone. He only did so to try and briber her into taking him to school. ( he starts kindergarten in the fall and is quite anxious to go). She estimates that she will have leave in July and promised to take him to school then. (smile) He wrote them each a card last week and they were both emotional in their letters about it. They are anxious to see him at Graduation. Britt is a Grad N Go but a day is just fine. We'll take what we can get. How is Troy getting along??
Oh, so glad to hear they are both doing well. Troy is doing great as well. He has the same frustrations.... the "dumb*&^" as he said in his last letter that talk back and just don't listen. Troy's littlest brother is 13 - he's anxious to see his big bro too. I don't think JT will be able to go to PIR though. We'll play it by ear the closer it gets. Troy is hoping to get home in June sometime for a few days. JT may just have to wait until then, assuming he is not out of town with his dad then. Hopefully it will all work out. But, he is not as close to Troy as it sounds like Chance is to Ethan and Britt. Where is Britt going for A school? Ethan? Britt will fly out on Saturday then?
Hi Tabatha

No letters yet this week, I'm hoping tomorrow we'll have one. He did tell me when I spoke to him that he was receiving mail from his cousins, friends and was going to write them all last sunday. I sent links for those that are my "friends" for the meet and greet at the Ramada. All the reservations are made, just counting down the days. So looking forward to April 9th. Have you heard from Troy? I saw your post regarding a few that can't get it together in their division, I'm sure its frustrating as they all have to continue working on being "strong" sailors instead of "smart" sailors:) I have no doubt they'll all come together as a team long before PIR. TJs mom
TJs Mom - Nothing from Troy since Saturday (6th). I'm sure you are right, that they'll all come together. I RSVP'd for the M&G at the Ramada - sounds like fun. I'll have to make sure I get an early flight into Chicago now. :)

I'll let you know what Troy says if I have a letter when I get home this evening.

TTYS - Tabatha
What date and time is the M&G scheduled?
My family and I will be staying at the Ramada also. Our son, David, is graduating 4/9/10.

Christy
Hi TJ's mom!!! I'm David's Mom (Christy). He's evidently training with your son. Graduation 4/9/10!!!!
I received a letter today from David. Looks like he's a grad n go. I don't know where he will go to tech school yet.
David has been really upbeat in his letters and phone calls. He said the food is good and he's made some friends. I'm very proud he's adjusted so well.
Thank you so much for starting this blog. I look forward to chatting with the other Mom's that are going through similar experiences.
Hi Christy,

This site has been such a support for all of us moms, any questions we have someone is always kind enough to answer or guide us in the right direction. I told my son to tell all his recruit buddies to tell their moms about it if they aren't already on here.

TJ sent me a list of last names I posted the Initials of last name/Hometown trying to connect with some other moms that have a recruit training with my son. Troy's mom ( Ma/Colorado), is your son Be/Jacksonville or Rh/Gainesville? TJ is also very positive in all his letters home, however his initial letter to his older brother was not:( So I was so happy when I spoke with him and he reassured me everything is going well for him. TJ is going to Meridian Mississippi for A school. Make sure you sign up for the Meet and Greet at the Ramada Inn on thursday @ 6pm. It will be great to meet everyone. Virginia TJs Mom
