Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Has anyone received a letter or call, other than the form letter and original, "Hi, I'm here?"

I just got letters today. He has written me almost everyday since he has been gone so there were a bunch of letters in there lol. But I havent gotten a phone call yet.
Hi group,
I am a little confused, the recruiter gave us the address of Indiana Street and we got a form letter today with Ohio Street. What do any of you have for Ship 4 Div 808?
My son is Ship 04 and Div 808 and his is 3600 Ohio St.
Hi my daughter is in Ship 13 Div 152 .. only got form letter and then a call during week for people she's known for 7yrs in order to get her security clearance.. I'm so darn depressed!
I've gotten one letter so far after my form letter. Got it last Thursday. No phone call so far. Hoping for more news soon.
Hi !! This is so hard !! I was in boot camp 30 yrs ago ! Now i know how my Mom felt ! I've not gotten any letter either just the formatted one.. Which was crappy ! Then got call briefly for names for people who can confirm her for a security clearnance ! She was so sick on phone.. think its from the shots... lord... my only child and I'm worried..
i got a letter last weds or thurs.
I got letters today. No phone call yet! :)

I got a call today too. Best 30 minutes of my life. He sounded great!
