Jackie, Hope you find your way to this Discussion Thread! I was so happy this morning to see your post. I was starting to think I was the only mom with a recruit with this ship and division! Is your recuit a son or daughter? (also, I'm assuming since they are also in Div 921 that they are either a former high school band member, choir member and/or rifle squad (band) That's what I gathered from my son's short 1st letter home (900 divisions are performance divisions)
My step son is with this group, ship, class...what is the correct way to say this. Is anyone here planning on going to the PIR?
I've been wondering that myself. I've been just saying Ship/Div. < shrugs > Your stepson is on Ship 06/Div 921 or do you mean his PIR is 4/9/2010? (well, of course, or both.. ) Sorry, it's late, I haven't had any coffee since 6:30 this morning and I obviously need to wake my brain up! Ha!

Is your stepson, Steven, formerly in band/choir or rifles in high school? My son, Andrew, wrote in his letter that 900 Div's are performance Div so for 2 hours every Sat he gets to go to band.

His Stepdad, Myself, his Dad and Stepmom are all going to graduation/PIR. We're in Texas so we'll fly up Thursday. (or that's the plan anyway) What about you?
Was really hoping to get another letter(s) Friday.. (like last Friday) no such luck... Maybe today!! < stares at the mailbox waiting for the postman to drive up >

Hope you all had a great week and wishing you a wonderful weekend. One more week down! Going to get our flight and hotel booked today for PIR! Anyone else already taken care of this? Where you staying... Are you flying into Midway or O'hare?
Bumping this back up incase any new mom's are just looking here for a group in Div 921!!
