Rachael was finally able to call me today, we were able to talk for an hour or so. She was really sick on Wed when she got there and Thurs slept as much as she could. Then of course she had weekend barracks duty and was only allowed to leave for chow. There aren't any pay phones on her floor and has to be escorded to the male floor when there are pay phones :(. That should all change tomorrow when her phone arrives!!! Other than that all is good. lol Although she did say she is going to have really start working out again---she been eating way too much ice cream!!! lol She is also amazed at how much freedom they are getting---it's kind of throwing her for a loop. And she can't wait to get to the beach. She's going to burn like a lobster!!!

Andrea made it down to Pensacola on Wednesday and said that the base is really beautiful. The galley food "rocks", she is in a cute little dorm room with one other girl and she's enjoying the freedom of not having and RDC scream commands at her every other minute! She's been calling me about twice a day from a pay phone. (Using up those left-over minutes) I overnight shipped her laptop, cell phone, iPod, camera, and a bunch of other things yesterday. So hopefully today she'll be back in communication with the rest of the world. Next week, I'll start sending her clothes and personal things that she may want. She says she has quite a bit of storage space and can have snacks in her room now! Her training starts after Memorial Day, so these days will be filled with "indoc" classes and a tour of the Naval Air Museum. She and Rachel A. have become fast, tight friends and are helping each other along down there. Sorry I haven't posted more, ladie, but it seems I caught a very bad case of boot camp "crud"! Andrea finally sounds healthy (no congestion, coughing, etc.) which is a relief because she was sick throughout all of basic training. It's just so much better now that we can communicate with one another. This I will be able to handle much better! Take care everyone!

lucky you Wade, I only heard from Rachael once yesterday and nothing today so far. I mailed off her cell phone to her today. She told me last night that she would be in processing or something today and tomorrow. Hoping she made it to the doc. Who knows maybe she will still call...
