Good Morning,
mhicks here...son on the same ship and division. He called 04/15/10.
But, had to leave messages . Did call back 04/17/10 for 1 minute. My husband was able to talk with him.
Sounded very good and repeated what he had written.
Got the phonecall on Tuesday! Got about 10 minutes! Thank God!!!
My brother is in the same Ship and Div also. He got his first phone call on Tuesday also. Sadly no one was answering at first but he called my sister twice and she was crying while listening to his voice mail that let her know she missed his call when he called back. My Step Father also answered after being called a second time. I hope we hear from him soon!
Any Letters or News???
I got a letter this week. Kind of short but will share a line or two...
He was appointed RCPO of Shipstaff sounded good not sure what it is…In charge of 100 recruits daily…????He was Happy…..but then added.
I have been going though a tough phase getting motivated...
But I'm back to having my Eye on the Prize!!
My Motivation came back yesterday during marching Practice. We marched into the Graduation hall and I Imagined you guys being there for that...then BOOM!
I was re-motivated....

PS to his younger brother….Please bring me some boxers….had to laugh!!!!!
21 days from Right now Ladies!!!!!
Hi All - My daughter is in SHIP 14 DIV 194 - I got a call last week - So good to hear her voice - she is doing well - She has been made Laundry PO - not really sure what that is all about! I just let her talk - I can ask questions when I see her right! Can't wait for May 21st!!! Does anyone have any idea how long we will get with our new sailors before they re shipped off to A school????
I can't wait till the 21st.....
I never understand the titles of the jobs they get....
Were is your daughter going to A School???
I heard the time off depend were they are going to A School????
Were are you staying the 21th?
She is going to Pensacola, Fl. I have not made hotel reservations yet since I am not sure how many of us can go or how long we are staying....do you have any suggestions - I know we want to stay somewhere close.

I see that your son is RCPO - My daughter is Laundry PO - not sure what it all means either!! LOL She did like to do laundry here at home - but that was only because she would find money in the dryer!! LOL :-)
I believe my son is going to Pensacola also......We are staying at the Confort Inn... Heard it was clean and close....
Wish we had extra space... sorry .....Good Luck.
Were are you coming from???
We are from the Richmond, Va area. Though she has family in Michigan that are coming as well. What job does your son have? She is going for Avaition Tech - mechanics - it's the only thing the Navy had open and since she wanted to go ahead and get started she took it...not her dream job for sure but its a start! Her A school is 17 weeks long. I'll check out the Comfort Inn. Thanks!! :-)
My son is a Machinist Mate. His school is at Great Lakes. We are from Chicago, so we will get a chance to see him while he is in school I suppose. Does anyone know how much leave they get the weekend of graduation? Trying to find out if we can get him home at all that weekend. Maybe even surprise him with a get together.
If you live within 50 miles of RTC then you can take him home. They get Friday-Sun for Liberty,. If he is G&G to GL he may get overnights. If he's not G&G then he has to be back at 8 oclock ( I think) he'll know for sure.
Anyone know why they pulled everyone's wisdom teeth?
