Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

So we have 3 days left everyone and im not gonna lie im nervous lol but im also sooooo excited..when he called the other day to tell me he is now a sailor i was the happiest person ever and so proud of him...I got to talk to him for about 40 mins and he just told me about battle stations and the friends he has made and of course i told him how i gave myself a concussion lol and had him cracking up..but only 3 days and i get to hold him in my arms again yay

Hello Ladies. Congratulations to all the new Sailor's. 3 days to PIR! Really excited and looking forward to seeing my son! Good luck to all those heading to battlestations tonight! I know I was a nervous wreck last fri. waiting for the call, so my thoughts are w/all of you!

DefianceMom:  Since the PAO said to expect a call tonight, that sounds like good news.  I have a feeling that tomorrow is YOUR DAY!  Glad you are checking FB too...because you may spot him on there before the call comes...

diannep - I will certainly post when I have some news.  I am still here monitoring my phone, Facebook and N4M, trying to see if the calls are done or if there is still a chance for tonight.  I am just so disappointed because I was told by PAO to expect a call tonight.  I can't imagine what has happened now.  Thanks for your concern.

DefianceMom:  Hoping that your son was one of the 5 who went through last night.  I know you can't wait for that call.  If for some reason he didn't go last night, he's probably going tonight.  Please post when you hear from him!

Wheeewww!  I think it's safe to say that 165, 166, 809 and 925 go tonight!  Let's hope!  Fingers crossed that they all go on the same night!

My thoughts & prayers go out to all those going through BS21 tonight! Can't wait for more Sailors calls :)
