Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes, getting that form letter was a relief yesterday, even if the first thing my husband wrote on it was to not forget about the bills...such a man lol. I miss him SO much, but he's going to be so proud that I've taken over everything perfectly.
Hang in there everyone, the days wills start to speed up as we begin to get our weekly letters. My phone has become a permanent attachment while I wait for a phone call. I know it won't come for another week or so, but you never know.
foreverMom: In answer to your question about "Navy personnel" reading the site and laughing at us...um, yep, I think so! One SR had questioned his RDC, mentioning this site. The RDC's response was: Yep, best website out there.

no letter or box today :( but I did talk to his recruiter & have an address,,,so letters in the mail tomorrow...ship12div160...pretty certain PIR will be 5/6 based on all the updated info from today. Looking forward to GL in May~~~
