ohhhhh call home defiance's son!!! but that does sound like real good news, I'm glad you shared. I'm glad he's still with us!

I hated to post anything until I knew for sure, but that was what I had been told by PAO this morning.  He apparently did not change divisions . . . he would only run BS with a different division.  I was told he would continue to be in division 159 and graduate with that group . . . which is awesome.  However, still waiting.

I don't want to interfere with anyone's calls with their new sailors, but I was told this morning that my son, (Division 159) was to run BS last night as he was pulled from his BS date due to illness.  Just curious if any new sailors would mention that some non 161-164 division recruits participated in BS last night with them?  Probably no reason for them to mention such a thing, but we are still hopeful of an "I'm a Sailor" call this evening even though our SR was in division 159.

So here's hoping that we were right on the schdule and 161-164 went last night!  I will check posts later tonight to see who called.  Congrats to the new sailors today!  They became sailors at a very important time in history (well, went into BattleStations on that day)---the day Bin Laden ceased to exist, thanks to our Navy Seals!

Congratulations to all our new sailors and to their families!

And a blessing for a complete healing to Cyndi's Sailor and all our other SRs and Sailors who are sick - may healing come speedily, quickly, very soon, and certainly before they have to travel by airplane!

I have a sailor!!!!!!!  Just got the call at about 12:45 Pacific time.  We talked for about 15 minutes and then I let him call his Dad.  What a relief!  Im so excited to see him on Friday!  He has been battling strep throat for about 3 wks and I didn't even recognize his voice!!  Poor guy.  He had watch after Captains Cup so only got 3 hrs sleep before battlestations!  Hopefully he can rest a little bit now until PIR.  I don't know what their schedule is like after battlestations.

I know your calls are coming!!!  Congratulations to all the new Sailors today!!  Cyndi
