Congratulations to this week's Captain's Cup winners! Taking the title for the all-male division was Div. 809; the title for the integrated divisions went to Div. 165; and the division who won the motivational chant was Div. 157.

Marylieu -- My son is not in 163, but how nice of you to take a moment to share that!

My son's PIR was 4/29.  I just wanted to pass on some info to you.  We got to the base at 645, we drove and there was no line at the gate. The line to get into the actual graduation was long, but it moved swiftly.  We were in the hall by 700 and seating was very, very limited.  The ceremony was spectacular, well worth the agonizing wait.

Moms of 163...I saw your soon to be sailors marching...they came around once with their outer coats on and their caps pulled down to their brows.  On the second lap around, they had been allowed to take off their outer coats and to roll up their caps.  They really looked great.  I'm just telling you this because I missed my son so terribly and would loved to have heard this about him.

Ladies...all the best!!!!

dkmom- oh ya, I wrote that post way earlier. At that point I thought 161 and 162 went through BS21 with 159 and 160 thurs/friday. I was asking if anyone from 161 and 162 had gotten word from their new sailors. But they didn't go? We thought they were going but not quite yet, correct? I'm sorry, I've not really read through all of the posts thouroughly. Got a headache..blah. Any word about CC?

aww, Rabbi Mom..beautiful story, isn't it?  I thought you were going to say that your son didn't want you to have an umbrella...but smiled when you said he did.  They may not act like they want our protection, but bottom line...they always will.
