i have a feeling she did something EXTREMELY stupid. she didn't want to tell me on the phone, said she would write me a letter & explain. she has been passing all of her tests & physicals with flying colors. she was on ship staff & mail room. so, the only thing i can think of, is she was ignorant and did something wrong.
when i see her, i will give her a huge monster hug, then probably smack her in the back of the head! i am behind her 110%, and the navy is taking care of whatever happened, but they are not her mama!
thank you for everything, couldn't have gotten thru this time without any of you. have a great time at PIR next week! i will be looking for the pictures as soon as i get home from work!
did anybody get a call yet from ship 12 div 162?
sherilyn,
I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm sure she will pull through and PIR on 5/13. Please keep us posted on her progress. I will keep your daughter and family in my thoughts and prayers.

ladies, heard from my SR today, she has been switched to ship 7 div. 172. her new PIR is 5-13. i want to thank all of you for helping thru the time we were together, and my thoughts, prayers & hopes will be with you next friday during your PIR. have a wonderful time, and i'm sure i will be chatting with you in the future!
PIR LAST MINUTE TIPS:
Make sure everyone has ID's (birth certs for kids without ID's)
If driving make sure you have car registration and current insurance cards - i have gone to visit one of my military sons and thought I had the current stuff and did not, they may not ask to see it but if they do be prepared.
Bring at least 2 copies of the gate/parking pass - whether you plan on taking a shuttle to PIR or not, you'll need it to return your sailor back to base in the evening.
Binoculars - trust me on this!
Tide Stick Pen and a lint brush
Tissue - self explanatory!
Camera - and charger (or film)
Cell phone - and charger
Umbrella-just in case
GPS, reservation numbers, maps you may have printed
Husband, kids, etc (easy to forget those!)
An open mind to how your weekend will transpire - remember, they will be tired, they will be hungry and they just want hugs! Mainly they want to sleep, shower and chill.
Bring your Sailors cell, laptop, ipod and all chargers to use in the room to catch up and if they are G&G you can give pass them on.
A comfy pair of clothes for your sailor to relax in while in your motel room
A sweater or jacket - it gets cold in the PIR hall
Whatever cool ribbon or name tag you may have made for your Meet & Greet
If you have room in your bag…a towel for your Sailor to sit on if you do go out and sightsee.
Best advice: Have fun and whatever you do, do NOT bring your sailor back to the base late. No one will forgive you for a long, long time! (If someone is late, they lose liberty the next day - and their whole division loses a couple of hours!!! NOT COOL)
