I am so happy to hear from old friends! Thanks soh@ppy and cack for stopping by to give us an update.
Hi cali-mom, How nice that your sailor will be home soon!
My sailor will be home for 4th of July weekend (my fav holiday). It will be nice to have him home. He has been at A school in San Antonio since graduation and you know what little time we got with our sailors so I'm happy to have him home for a few days.
We have our nephew who came to lives with us his senior year in hs and will also be leaving for the Navy by August. I haven't felt the complete empty nest but I suspect I will after he leaves.
I'm just looking forward to his graduation (high school on June 21st) and then my son's homecoming for the 4th of July. We still have our daughter who will be a 10th grade next year. Oh the times are changing and changing.
my son had PIR 5/6 and we ordered the DVD and yearbook and haven't receive it yet neither; i'm disappointed as i have tried to call several times about it and no one ever answers the phone when i call.
Hi everyone! Seems like it's been forever since PIR. My sailor finally classed up after the Memorial Day weekend. He is having to study for the first time in his life. At least he got a nice break. He said it was like summer vacation. One of his friends was able to go visit & they went to the beach for the day. His first PFA is this week & hopefully he will phase up. I am very much looking forward to fetching him home for the July 4th weekend.
My oldest son got married on June 4 and will be back from his Disney World honeymoon today. My daughter, Amber, and her crew were here for 2 weeks so I got to love on one of my new granddaughters and her 3 big brothers. Great fun!
My daughter Sonia will be bringing her 3 kids in Aug. Her hubby is deploying for 6 months so she will stay for at least a couple months. I'm looking forward to meeting my other new granddaughter.
So, I think that catches me up. I don't get much computer time these days. My daughter, Emily is taking on line classes & doesn't have a computer so she is using mine. It's for a good cause! She is looking forward to getting enough credits to enlist in the Navy.
I hope everyone will post on here every now & then. It's nice to see how our new sailors are doing.
