Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Robin is correct!  BattleStations IS the FINAL TEST!  They are sailors after that...and get their Sailor caps((in exchange for their Recruit caps) at the capping ceremony at the end of it.

I cant believe our boys are on their final 8 days and 11 hours of Boot Camp how exciting for everyone..Im going to also mail my last letter tomorrow but i will definatly not stop writing i cant wait till his battle stations

I will be mailing out my last letter tomorrow! Seems like just a short time ago I was anxiously waiting for his address. These 8 weeks have flown by, for me at least. Cant wait to see my lil brother! We have gained the same amount of weight since he has been gone, mine is baby weight. Hope his is muscle! Want to send a good luck to all going through Battlestations Tonight! May all you SR's do amazing!!

saugonda, I believe battlestations is THE FINAL test, however, I'm pretty sure they'll have to continue with their regular duties and probably PIR marching practice!

ok, i'm sitting here getting a little nervous. just to confirm there is nothing else they have to pass after battlestations ... correct?  my nerves are getting real bad for some reason

I got a letter today,he seemed happy said he spent $215.00 on pictures so I should have lots of pictures...he's gained12 pounds,seemed much more adjusted than in the past.Also,he finally thinking what I've been telling him,liberty may only be for FRIDAY:(...Not sohappy about that one,but still proud!!
