Hi all! I like when everyone comes back and updates! :)
My daughter is in Virginia Beach, VA for A school, then she'll have C school there as well. Her A school ends in Aug. then not sure how long C school will be.. depends on what specific job they give her. School is going well for her, tho her classmates seem to have gotten a little out of control. 5 from her class had to go to legal over memorial day weekend for underage drinking, buying for underage drinkers, being drunk and showing up for muster DRUNK.. one didn't even make it to muster! :/ The guys in her class have been harrassing the girls, so the girls had to go to the chief and tell them about it.. it seems to be taken care of, for now, but we'll see how the next few weeks go. It has been frustrating to some degree, b/c I thought once BC was over, it wouldn't be so stressful.. but A school has had its difficulties... hopefully she is on the up side now! :)
We probably wont' see her til sometime in Sept/Oct. when c school is over and in between when she gets her assignment. so another long wait for us! :( Oh well!
Glad to hear the good news from everyone! :)
Take care!
memorial day? absolutely!!!! Being involved sure makes one more aware doesn't it!
by the way, today is the anniversary of D-Day
Hi so happy,
you sound good. How's your daughter? as far as our sailor he's doing really good. Very busy with his classes and homework, cherishes the weekends. It will be so good when you see your guy again! Do you know the plan for him after his break?
thank you jbird, cali mom,and Valtameri..my sailor seems to be very happy and loving a school. He has new friends and everytime we talk,it seems he is maturing more and more.I am loving the feeling of not worrying so much now that I know that hes happy. Its looking like he might be home july4th week but we are not sure exactly yet.I am planning on a big party for him,he turned 21 while in bootcamp so it will be 2 parties in one.I can't wait for the rest of my family to see him in his dress whites! How are your sailors??
Hi soh@ppy -- I'm glad that you're back to being that way -- happy, that is!
soh@ppy,
Hi!! It has been a long time. How is your sailor doing? I love that picture of the three of you. Oh ya, gotta love the bc glasses!
LOL!! I love the new clock...man,its been awhile since I been on here.Looks like alot of people are taking a break. It has been some month,I feel so much better about his choice now that I've seen him in person and can now speak with him.We text, call and even skype usually every evening. He seems different in a very possitive way.I no longer worry,worry,worry...:) HOW'S EVERYBODY DOING????...I got me 2 divsions shirts 1 for 160 & 170,even though he was asmod 1 week to div 170 PIR 5/13....he still got me a 160 div shirt...I love it!...(its my fav)...shhh....It was pretty cool, the way the sharks on the t-shirt represented the RDC's...
speaking of the 159 shirt, I wore mine to church today and my husband wore his Navy shirt.
Happy memorial day to all sailor families!
